karsearin

Aslan is a character in the Karsearin: Adventures of a Red Dragon.

Information

Aslan is one of the three richest men in both Libeid Kingdom and Karsel Kingdom. [1]

Even if he is a merchant from the Libeid Kingdom, he can still reside in the Lastanien Kingdom, this is because the original Six Nations Alliance of Heid had a kind of national community character, so there were no major restrictions on merchants crossing the border, and even border crossing was possible with just a guild certificate, and even during wartime, their authority was not greatly reduced, so they could still freely cross the border. [2]

Appearance

Aslan is a man in his forties with a dignified appearance. [1] He is a pot-bellied, middle-aged man. He has the appearance of a surprisingly trustworthy merchant. What does a trustworthy merchant look like? A thick layer of sebum flowing down his face, thighs reminiscent of elephants, and a belly even a pig would cry when it sees this. He has gone beyond the typical level and has reached the level of a truly exemplary merchant. [2] To anyone who looked at him, he looked like a collection of desires. [3]

Personality

Aslan is cruel enough to looked for an unrelated collaborator to steal the Parousia inside the Shihad Academy so that he can kill him later if something goes wrong. [1][4]

Webtoon Episode 102

He laughed heartily when he heard that Rake had saved ten thousand gold coins after having Eyke and his son killed by assassins. [3]

Because he was cautious, he did not trust Rake, because the instant he acquired Almighty Creature power, he'll betray him, [5] and had his secretary, Lashte, [6] sent her as a spy for Gaster [7] to extract information, and once the information was complete, he told her to withdraw from this mission because she was not the only spy he has, so let's prioritize safety. [5] Because of this, Rake had Seria eavesdrop on he and Lashte's conversation and learn information he had not told them: that where the Almighty Creature was sealed in the Lartead Mountains, situated along the border between the Gaianes Empire and the Six Nations Alliance of Heid, specifically, it's inside Ezekie Sh'Karstein, the biggest volcano there, in other words, it's where the Ancient Dragon Karstein's lair is. Biography

Season 1

In 304 AC, in the Anasteid Mercenary Guild, the Mercenary Commission Head of Anasteid held out the papers to Rake, trying to appease him and said since he's here anyway, why he doesn't take on something else, this assignment just came in. Rake was surprised. Rake's eyes lit up as he looked through the documents and said hmm, this is a tidy sum. The Mercenary Commission Head of Anasteid asked to Rake that which mission he's talking about. Rake answered oh, that one... The Mercenary Commission Head of Anasteid asked to Rake that ...well, it doesn't apply to him, it does. Rake answered not at all, but... in any case... ...all they're looking for is a red-haired boy with no connections whatsoever, a whole 500 Gold for that. Rake thought this mission is totally... ...tailored to Arin, red hair... ...with no connections. The Mercenary Commission Head of Anasteid asked to Rake that why, he does has someone in mind. Rake smiled broadly and answered yep, he knew just the person. Rake put his hand on the paper and said in fact, he's very much interested in becoming a mercenary himself. Still, the Mercenary Commission Head of Anasteid looked uneasy and asked to Rake that it will be okay, the fact that they're looking for a person with no connections... meant they're expecting trouble. Rake responded calmly to the Mercenary Commission Head of Anasteid's nagging that's not a problem, he's sure he can take care of himself, he almost killed him, he saw. The Mercenary Commission Head of Anasteid's expression changed in surprise and shouted what he did, that's incredible, he's not the child of an aristocrat, he's, that'd be a real problem. Rake said he doubt it, he had no problem selling him as a slave-- The Mercenary Commission Head of Anasteid asked to Rake that what, a slave. Rake said with a hearty laugh that n-nothing. Someone asked Arin, he has been waiting like he told him. Arin shouted Rake. Arin was angry and shouted he was bored to death, what Rake took so long. Rake said he got Arin an assignment. Rake looked back at Arin. congratulations, Arin, he's now officially a mercenary. Arin smiled and shouted an assignment. Rake said that's right, and it's worth 50 Gold. Rake smirked and thought huhu... this kid's great at helping him fill his pockets, he thought he'd use Arin's spirit magic and ended up hitting the jackpot, it's actually worth 500 Gold. Even though he's Arin, something was suspicious at this point and asked with his eyes half-open that huh, wait, he got an assignment, why they did assign him a mission without even meeting him. Rake was surprised. Rake, who does a double take, quickly whispered in Arin's ear what he wanted to hear that h-he was lucky, thank his red hair, he can even learn swordsmanship like he wanted. Arin quickly abandoned his doubts when he heard that he could learn swordsmanship, his eyes lit up and shouted swordsmanship. Rake thought what a simpleton... Rake said first, let's grab something to eat. he'll tell him the details over dinner. Arin was delighted and thought great, at last... ...he will learn to wield the sword. An inn restaurant in the city of Anasteid. Rake took a seat in the hall, and when Arin ate a modest dinner, he tilting his beer and said from now on, his mission is to... ...infiltrate Shihad Academy as a student. [8]

Rake said let him explain what the assignment is. Rake tapped his finger on a city on the map and said this here... is Cahillan, the capital of Libeid, this city is where the Shihad Academy is located. Rake smirked and said Arin's first assignment... ...is to sneak in as a student and fit in naturally. Arin asked Shihad... Academy. Rake answered yeah, formerly known as an academic research institutes of sorts, they used to teach magic, pharmacology, medicine, law, and such, but because Libeid Kingdom upholded chivalry to its highst form... ...the academy has become a place to train knights. Rake shrugged and said basically, a training school, ridiculous, it isn't, even though being a knight isn't an occupation, it's a title, unlike the other nations, Libeid enforces an examination system to appoint knights. Arin drank water. Rake said simply put, one must pass the test to become a knight here, that's why students in their teens, when they're most receptive to learning, were trained as knights... ...right here in Shihad Academy. The two were silent. Rake said in other words, if Arin take on this assignment, he can finally learn to wield a sword as he wished. Arin smiled and shouted oh, he got it. Rake said just enroll Arin himself in the academy and focus on learning swordsmanship, then later, he does one favor, and the job is done, simple, it isn't. Arin asked what kind of favor. Rake answered that's a secret, first, let's get Arin all freshened up, from now on, he will become Arin Aslan, the son of him the multimillionaire, he should doesn't forget he's now Arin Aslan. Arin thought let's see, he successfully entered the academy... [4]

A few days later. A living room furnished with elegant, if not extravagant, furniture. A dignified old lady opened her mouth politely that nice to meet him, Arin, he truly was beautiful, just like his mother, now, he should please make himself comfortable. Someone poured black tea into Arin's cup. The old lady handed Arin a piece of paper and said here's the rules of Shihad Academy, he should please take a look. After receiving the paper, Arin read the contents carefully and thought what's this, it's full of does and don'ts, hmm, the old lady told him to look, she didn't say to memorize them. The old lady said please Arin should read through it slowly, then follow Sera. Sera who's a maid that said to Arin that let her guild Arin to his room, this way... Sera left the living room first, and Arin quickly followed her. As he walked down the hallway, Arin thought back to the past, when he was still staying in Anasteid City. [8]

Shihad Academy. In principle, only aristocrats are allowed to enroll in this academy. However, there are tow exceptions, first, students with magic. Magicians are talented and sought after, so there's no reason to exclude them. Second, students who make a generous donation to the academy. Their donations cover most of the academy's expenses, so even commoners are allowed to enroll. Not that the aristocrats would openly accept them. Even nobles can't help but feel jealous of a commoner who is undeniably exceptional. The drill instructor sighed inwardly and said hah... ...how Arin is struggling to hold up an empty pail... ...he understand he made a donation, but how he's supposed to make a knight out of such a frail child... [4]

A splendid reception room decorated with all sorts of rare flowers, paintings, and gold and silver treasures. A healthy young man in his twenties and a man in his forties with a dignified appearance were conversing. [1] Rake said he heard redheads were being kidnapped at random, Mr. Aslan... He said ...according to his intel, it seemed to be related to the Black Dragon. Rake asked what if... Arin's been kidnapped too. He answered that seemed to be the case, a few cadets have already gone missing, to confirm, he asked to meet as Arin's father, but all he got back was an excuse, apparently, they're not allowing any visits during this important time. He, who had been grumbling, nervously put down the teacup he was drinking on the table and said things were spiraling out of control, he was looking for a redhead to stand in for his son, who knew his plan would come back to bite him, they're so afraid of the dragon that they'd willingly sacrifice the children of royals and aristocrats. Rake replied with a smile that it's the logical thing to do... ...they'll have no authority to speak of if Libeid falled to ruin, haha. He clicked his tongue and said in any case... ...they must find Arin, that's how he'll get his hands on... that thing inside Shihad Academy. [9]

Season 2

Seton said the academy's probably razed to the ground, and Arin said he's currently in Sarbazan, right, that leaved them with two options, either they go to his place, or they go look for his father... Arin asked huh, his father. [10]

Seton asks ...why Arin do keep referring to Mr. Aslan as if he's a stranger

Seton asked he's not Arin's father or something... ...why he does keep referring to him as if he's a stranger. Arin was troubled and thought right, he initially snuck into the academy as a mercernary, he totally forgot, what should he does. Of course, as expected of Arin, he didn't think about it for long. Arin thought he's sure it'll work out somehow. Seton said he's sorry, Arin, but... ...let's go to his place, Sarbazan is too far away and they're broke, at least the Sarasnein Estate is close by... Arin shouted he wholeheartedly agree. Seton said A-Arin do, uh, that's great. [10]

Rake asked all that aside... ...Seria did manage to overhear anything. Seria answered yes, they say Liegis was located in the basement of Lastanien Palace. A deep smile appeared on Rake's lips as he said oooh, lucky break, even he didn't know that, the stalking paid off. Seria said lucky, her ass, Rake did forget she almost died. Rake prepared to climb over the wall and said well, Seria was safe now, she doesn't forget he had to put on an act to save her life, if Pluto had found out, he'd has been dead meat too. [11]

In a luxurious mansion located in Catatus, Lastanien Kingdom, [2] he shouted hahaha, and smiled and spoke well done, Rake, now, they've got their hands on Parousia and Liegis. Rake said the problem was the remaining two, him, infiltrating the imperical castle was a challenge even for him. He asked Rake was referring to the Rod of Authority and the Imperial Seal. [6]

Aslan says it would certainly be impossible for a person of ordinary abilities, however... ...arem't there certain individuals with extraordinary abilities who are also looking for the seal

He said it would certainly be impossible for a person of ordinary abilities, however... ...weren't there certain individuals with extraordinary abilities who were also looking for the seal. Rake said he was suggesting that they steal the seals from the Dragon Slayers, he'd rather infiltrate the Imperial Palace. He laughed and said worry not, he won't ask Rake to steal the seals from them. He grinned and said Rake should leave that part to him, in any case, Rake have sorted everything out with the mage. Rake smiled and said oh, yes, of course, he meant Eyke, right, he returned his son with a sack of gold coins as promised. He said good, soon, the world will be theirs, 10,000 Gold was a cheap price to pay. Rake said it's wrong, they'll have their 10,000 Gold back, if they want to protect their secret... wouldn't it be best to seal their lips forever, he hired an assassin, even if Eyke was a mage capable of Seventh Circle spells... ...it won't be hard to assassinate him when he lowered his guard as he reunited with his son. He laughed as if he were truly cheerful and pointed at Rake with his finger and said what a fantastic idea, he's one dependable man, he liked it, meeting him has ben his greatest fortune. Rake stood up and said then he'll get going now. He said yes, get some rest. Rake left the room and he was alone. [6]

Lashte's silhouette

Suddenly he muttered Lashte... they did get the correct info this time. Lashte who's something dark came out next to him and said certainly, Sir. A fog suddenly rose outside the mansion, and at the same time, a strange shape emerged from one side. A pure white woman appeared like a ghost. Rake wasn't surprised. Rake said to Seria that her ability to turn into fog was perfect for infiltration, so she did manage to learn anything. Seria said yes, she found out where the Almighty Creature was sealed. Rake shouted as he thought, he already knew... so, where it was. Seria continued hesitantly and said well... ...it's in the Lartead Mountains, situated along the border between the Gaianes Empire and the Six Nations Alliance of Heid, specifically, it's inside Ezekie Sh'Karstein, the biggest volcano there, in other words, it's where the Ancient Dragon Karstein's lair is, it's the perfect place, really, it can't get any safer than an Ancient Dragon sitting atop the seal. Rake's complexion hardened for a moment and shouted n-no... that's the worst. [6]

Season 3

In a mansion located in Jergranen, Sarbazan Kingdom, after transforming herself into fog, Seria seeped into the ceiling vent and took up a position in one corner of the ceiling vent in his office and thougth ...he is not in his room. He entered his office and immediately called Lashte and asked so, her, any progress. Lashte answered yes, she'll give her report now. Lashte who's already took off her glasses, she handed over a bundle of documents to him and said here's what she found from Gaster. He read the documents and said hmm, the information is a little different from what they knew. Lashte said yes, it appeared that the Almighty Creature and the Super Dragon are different entities, furthermore, the Almighty Creature is not even a Dragon to begin with, that meant the mutant Dragon is in fact... the Super Dragon. Seria heard this. Lashte said once the seal is broken, controlling the Almighty Creature will require... a human soul as catalyst, the Almighty Creature is better understood as a collective will rather than a single entity like a dragon, that is why a human soul is required to act as its central core, in theory, the higher intellect will oversee the weaker ones. He said so... breaking the seal will give them the absolute power of the Almighty Creature, if that's true, then he can't go on using Rake, the instant he acquired this power, he'll betray him, but he doesn't want to get directly involved in something so uncertain... ...there must be special conditions to acquire such remarkable power. He held the documents in his hand and said conditions that even Gaster has yet to discover, he must look into it more, all right, he has gathered enough information for now, Lashte, she may now withdraw from this mission. Lashte was surprised. He said Lashte is not the only spy he has, so let's prioritize safety. Lashte said understand... and her words were blurred. Lashte took out a bunch of feathers and handed them over and said ...in that case, she'll return the Warp Wings. His brow suddenly furrowed deeply and said hmm. He roughly picked up one of the feathers. Lashte asked Lord. He said this is... As if by sheer luck, a thunderous explosion rang out and earth-shaking tremors shook the earth from all directions. Lashte was embarrassed and shouted what that was. He said ugh... it's too late, this Warp Wing... may be expertly crafted, but it's a fake, this must be the work of Gaster, he knew he was being spied on from the start. The night streets of Jergranen are getting darker as the sun sets. Despite the fact that it is still evening, one side of the street is surprisingly bright. This is because an incredibly large fire is rising. Above the main gate of the burning mansion, which greatly contributed to illuminating the darkness of the streets, four humans using Levitation were chatting while looking at the flames. Vera asked Gaster is sure this is the place. Gaster answered he's sure, the remnants of the Retrace Spell are coming from the mansion. Gaster said he let Lashte spy on purpose and leaked limited information, that's what information warfare essentially is. Vera said not bad, Gaster, he's as talented as always. Gaster said now, then, let's go meet the generous people... ...who collected the seals for them. Seria said her hiding spot must have been within their magic range, she lost half of her body when she turned into fog, so she restructured her body and ended up as a child... Rake shouted magic, Seria is saying someone cast a spell, but who. Seria said Gaster. Rake was surprised. Rake shouted he saw what's going on now... ...that snobby he must has screwed up. Rake thought if the Dragon Slayers are targeting him, then he's done for, they must have taken the seals too. [5]

Lashte and Aslan are dead, and Gaster shouts oh, he'd better give them gredit, they had two seals

Lashte and him are dead, and someone shouted oh, he'd better give them gredit, they had two seals. Gaster said they're the ones who intercepted his mentor, all right, thanked for the gift. [5]
