Part 5 is the fifth part of the Karsearin: The Biography of the Super Dragon.
Plot
The next morning, Arin is looking at the fountain in Lael's central square, where there are people walking around, noisy noises, and the whole city coming to life. Arin, fascinated by the fountain and the square, looks around as much as he could while Carsan is talking to the merchant wearing a towel or something on head, and saw a strange object approaching. Arin coughs at the sight of the horse, which is wrapped around a string and hung from a flashing barrel and sprints through the square, raging furiously in dust, and asks to Carsan who's returns to his side to see if he's finished that, what is that thing and where is he going now. Arin's face is contorted because the new experience of coughing isn't very good, and Carsan grunts as someone drove the wagon like that in a square like this, looking to the side where the object had disappeared. He thinks it's a wagon. Carsan, who's grunting, suddenly frowns and asks Arin if he asked where he's going now. Arin, not understanding the question, just opened his eyes and looks at Carsan, and as he walks down the street again, he says that as he said in the morning, he bought him from Rake, and that his house doesn't look rich enough to keep slaves, so of course he's going to the slave auction house. As a young dragon, Arin, he don't understand whether living is the concept of gaining, so he just spilled it, but he thinks it must have been an important story. Carsan, who was angry, smiles again and mutters that, by the way, he's really lucky, because he has a healthy body and a pretty face, so he can called at least 1000 gold. He wonders what a thousand gold is, but anyway, seeing that he has a healthy body and a pretty face, Arin, who interprets it as a compliment,, follows Carsan with a smile. Arin walks along for a while and sees a flashing letter [Ladael Sh'Lael Slave Auction House] embedded in a huge 5 storey building the size of his main body, and the two go inside.
Unlike the Gaianes Empire, which forbids the slave trade, the Six Nations Alliance of Heid legalized the slave trade, and the trading city of Lael was famous as a center for the slave trade. Due to its location as a port city, many people flocked to it, and Lael also provided institutional support for the slave trade, so there was a huge slave auction house in Lael, which competed for the first and second place on the continent, and one of them was Ladael Sh'Lael. First of all, it has a wide list of not only humans, but also elves, cat-humans, anthromorphs, and demihumans, so it has been popular to cater to customers' tastes. In principle, slaves consist of the rebel's family, debtors unable to repay the debts, and criminals, There is no law that says that if there is demand, there is supply, or that customers always want only human beings, the current situation is that humanoids are better than humans (^^;;) (Translation: The original really has this emoji.). Unlike the Empire, there were hardly any similar races living in the Six Nations Alliance of Heid, and although there were cases where humanoids captured from the continent were combined to form a village, there were no races that originally lived there. (The Six Nations members live as an island, even if their territory belongs to the continent geopolitically. Between the Empire and the Six Nations, the Lartead Mountains and the ancient dragon Karstein, which is recognized as an absolute existence, are located as their habitat. This is because the situation is worse than being blocked by the sea.) So it is said that in the Gaianes Empire, where people of humanoids other than humans are regarded as citizens, it is said that they are struggling with the problem of humanoids being kidnapped by the Six Nations. Whether in the Empire or not, here in Karsel, they are treated as animals. If it is a humanoid with imperial citizenship, whether it is an elf or a dwarf, no matter where you are in the empire, once you step into the Karsel, you are equal in status to a dog who's guarding a house. (As a result, relations between the Empire and the Six Nations are not very good. Had it not been for Karstein and the sea dragon Archiad, who are in the middle, the war would have erupted sooner rather than later. However, unlike Karstein, who is irritable even when he comes only near his home, Archiad, a gentle Blue Dragon clan, tolerated humans crossing their territory on ships as long as there was no noise due to war, so trade by sea is flourishing. Moreover, there are many customers of Karsel's slave auction house among the Imperial officials, so they are not putting much pressure on them diplomatically.)
In this place with high-quality carpets and colorful paintings on every wall, inside the Ladael Sh'Lael Slave Auction House, where Arin followed Carsan and went well in Lael, he hands Arin to the mustache man, and carries a jiggling bag and go back giggling. He's Arin, just observing the situation calmly, remembering his mother's words, "If you stand still, you're in the middle," thinking that he doesn't know what's going on and what's going on around him. It's in a small room with a rusty-looking metal door that the mustache man who had given Carsan the jingling sack took Arin. He says that the man seems easier to tame than he thinks, leaving his cryptic words for Arin, he pushes him into his room, closes the door and leaves. Then he flinches at the door for a moment, then soon hears a rattling sound from his handle, and the man's footsteps moves away from the door. Arin is full of questions about why it makes a rattling noise when he staggers in front of the door, but he disappears without a moment to ask if it's Carsan and that mustache man. Rake says he's taught him everything he asks, and doesn't even think that the guy sold him as a slave - in fact, Arin doesn't know what a slave is - Arin just asks questions and he misses Rake who teaches well. Arin looks around the room, deciding that there is no law for all humans to be kind.
In the room, two boys who looked one or two years older than Arin (Arin's human appearance is about 15 or 6 years old), each occupying a corner of the room, were squatting down. Arin glances at him, and he crawls into an empty corner like the boys do, wraps his arms around his legs and squats down. He is less likely to act similarly to his wit, and he is faithful to his theory, but he only looks pitiful to the boys. He opens his mouth to say that he seems to have suffered quite a bit when he sees that the brown-haired boy who was looking at Arin looks like him too. He asks Arin, he's puzzled, what's wrong with him, and what's he like about himself. The brown-haired boy looks at Arin helplessly, then buries his head between his legs again and returns to his original position. Instead, a boy with black long hair as long as Arin, who was sitting in front of Arin, says that they are all in the same situation, so he doesn't need to be respectful. He's not Arin who wants to be respectful. The conversations around him were always his mother, Karstein, or other worm-class dragons over 2000 years old, so it's difficult for Arin's situation even if he tries to speak respectful.
Arin simply pretends that his speaking habit is like this. Then the black-haired boy grins, asks again how many years has it been. Arin wonders what is many years has it been, and asks if he's asking about his age. He heard that humans ask how old are you, but after all, does that also differ from region to region, or is that a dialect that you have only heard of? - A light of sympathy hangs on the faces of the two people who see Arin, who is smirking alone. The brown-haired boy, who had been burying his head in his knees, wondered if Arin was the first time and he looks at him and continues speaking. He asks him where he is from. He himself is a Red Dragon called Karsearin who lives in Al Kreed, Arin who can't answer that. If he finds out he's a dragon, rumors will spread, and he'll be caught by Karstein or his mother right away (they won't believe what he's saying). If he caught, his mana will be sealed, and then he will surely miss seeing the human world again within 6 to 700 years. Besides, Arin's mother is also famous for being filthy even among the Red clan, who said she has a bad temper. It's Arin who realized just how angry Karstein and her mother (Karsenian) must have been when the thought that it would be difficult to get over this safely crossed his head. Arin, who has vowed to never get caught up with himself, and, besides, there is already an appropriate way to respond to such a question. He says he doesn't know and Rake replies that he has amnesia. It is also comfortable. Now wait a little bit, and the boys will take care of setting Arin's profile appropriately. The boys ask him if he knows what a slave is, what this place is, why he's been sold, and each time he replies that he doesn't know. When the boys ask what he know, Arin replies that he doesn't know anything.
............
After an hour, Arin is able to acquire quite a lot of knowledge about the human world through conversations with them. Arin's profile that the two boys set up on their own was a pretty boy who lived in the mountains who didn't know anything, and the unfortunate boy who was seduced and sold into slavery. Thanks to this, Arin can learn how to use a shiny object called money, and that the unit of money - 1 gold is worth 100 gilds and 1 gild is worth 100 silds - slavery, countries, cities, etc. Also, there is a people called 'gay' among humans, and unlike dragons, Arin heard stories that he couldn't believe because they enjoyed sex with men. ^_^;; Arin mumbles that humans are very strange, and while organizing his thoughts, he finally realizes what his situation is. Arin thinks that Rake sold him. Apparently, Rake isn't hard enough to just throw away a young boy who has lost his memory left behind in the dragon's realm, but he's not naive enough to kindly take a boy who is young, memoryless, and has no mate, and has a beauty that can be sold at a high price. Arin wonders if that's not the case, or if he's been taking care of him in the first place to sell them. Rake, who taught Arin, who had been dreaming of meeting in human adventure stories, the harsh reality, could be said to be a very good teacher in a way,, but now Arin doesn't think about that. He feels betrayed. Angered, Arin kicks the iron gate hard and shouts that he has come here wrong and that he is not a slave in the first place. He knocks on the door for a while, and the door clicks open, and Arin is able to go outside.
After a while, Arin is dragged down by a dreadful young man in a guard's uniform and comes back into the room with his whole body bruised. The guard who had brought Arin just pushes Arin into the room, and under normal circumstances, a stunned person cannot stand upright, so the world's rule is that Arin's body slumped to the floor disgracefully. The brown-haired boy mutters that he should have stopped him earlier.
