The Creature Chapter 7 is the seventh chapter of the The Creature (Web Novel).

Plot

Arin raised his right hand absentmindedly. Arin's beautiful hand that was too pretty and pure white to be a man's hand, without a speck of dust on it. It was also the hand that tore out the heart of the woman Arin loved the most. No, to be exact, it was the woman's shadow... Arin blankly raised his head and looked up at the sky. A curse leaked out of Arin. Arin said damn it... Arin closed his eyes. Arin wanted to curse his own foolishness. Arin felt sorry for how long he had to keep repeating this stupid thing over and over again. The terribly desperate longing, the loneliness that seemed to squeeze Arin all around, made him want to feel at least her shadow. So the woman's double is created by Arin. However, after Arin goes through that terrible nightmare, he realized that the woman was not true and goes crazy and destroyed her. What was revealed beneath the destroyed lies was the truth that Arin cannot bear. Arin dreamed of comfort by creating a false woman again. Arin lowered his head and covered his hair. Arin felt contempt for himself. The sight of the woman falling apart was tormenting Arin. Arin knew. That Arin himself would dream of repeating the past again. In the end, Arin would repeat this foolish act again. And Arin would be able to have the woman, even if it was a false existence. If only there were no cruel nightmares that made Arin realize the truth... Arin sighed whew... Arin exhaled. Arin resented his weak heart that could not do anything. Arin thought why, why he does have to be like this. Arin's head suddenly rose. Arin's beautiful purple eyes flashed eerily beneath him flowing red hair. Arin's two hands lightly grasped the air. Arin thought yes, humans were the problem. It's always been humans. Those vile races, those cruel races who killed Arin's parents, killed his clan, and eventually killed himself... Arin's mouth twisted upward. Arin said the humans were tormenting him like this... A faint red aura rose from Arin's entire body. The urge to wipe out all those insect-like creatures on the surface was unbearable for Arin. This act, which actually had the power to do so and wasn't particularly difficult, was one of the most powerful temptations for Arin. There wasn't even any particular reason why Arin should resist the temptation. Even so, humans were still thriving on the surface. It may not have been intentional, but thanks to the cute beings who stopped Arin every time. This time, the cute beings again soothed Arin's aura with their cute and adorable voices. Someone called Mr. Arin. Arin asked ...huh. Arin, who had been raising his murderous look, suddenly turned his head toward the direction where the sound had come from. Arin saw a cute blonde girl running towards him from afar. Arin said ah, Rayskein... Arin smiled brightly as if he had never been so intoxicated by the serious atmosphere. Arin's murderous look had also disappeared. Another said Mr. Arin, him too. The other said him too. The other children who had been playing around had also gathered around Arin. To Arin, the presence of these children was different from how other dragons treated hatchlings. Children were not simply beings that must be reported in order to maintain the clan. The sins committed by Arin. The children were the only ones for whom Arin can atone for them. For the clan that disappeared because of Arin. Arin gently lifted the girl up and asked. Arin asked what it's. The girl spoke with a bashful and flushed face (not so much shyness, but rather her face reddening from the exciting staring contest) and held out the book she was holding. The girl asked Mr. Arin should read her a fairy tale. Arin was speechless. Arin had been seriously contemplating the extermination of humanity just a moment ago, but the girl said he should read a fairy tale. However, Arin could not possibly turn away from those fourteen pairs of bright eyes looking at him. Arin lightly lifted the fairy tale book in his hands, his shoulders slumping. Arin said ugh, that's right... With Arin's deep sigh. Arin said he'll read it to them.

The palace garden, covered with pure white snow on top of the green leaves, revealed a rather heterogeneous landscape. At one point, a black sphere began to form in the empty space in one corner of the garden. The sphere soon vomited out a man. A middle-aged mage with brown hair and black robes, it was, needless to say, the archmage Gaster. Gaster asked huh, what's the snow. As soon as he took a step, Gaster frowned. It was summer, a hot season when even the occasional haze would rise on nice days. But why this place was covered in snow everywhere and the cold wind was blowing. Gaster said it must have been those brats doing it, anyway, where this gentleman was. Gaster muttered as if it was nothing and looked around. At the end of the stairs, Gaster saw a red-haired young man reading a book in his hand with a bright voice. Gaster also saw fourteen children huddled together like chicks sitting next to their mother. The young man was so beautiful that Gaster couldn't believe he was human (although he wasn[t actually human) and the boys and girls were so cute. It was truly a beautiful scene, like a painting. But... Gaster thought oh his... they're all gathered together... Gaster didn't seem to want to see anything beautiful. Suddenly, Gaster's gaze turned to the sky. Gaster let out a mutter in defeat. Gaster said if this happens... if she came, he'll be able to avoid trouble... hey, why she wasn't coming.

Arin closed the book, concluding his words in a gentle, soft, and in some ways cute voice. Arin said ...so the hero defeated the demon king and saved the princess, and the two lived happily ever after. And Arin smiled brightly and looked at the fourteen children sitting around him. The lovely descendants of the clan who were looking at Arin with bright red cheeks and sparkling pretty eyes, saying that they didn't understand. Arin patted the children and asked them in a gentle voice. Arin asked they does have any questions. As if they had been waiting, the children began to raise their cute voices. Someone asked the two did really live happily ever after. Another asked the hero didn't cheat. The other said when the demon king locked the princess up, he must have paid a lot of attention to her beauty. A dragon said usually, a princess would look terrible after being tied up for three days... Another dragon said and there was also the bathroom issue. The other dragon said maybe the hero had a strange taste. A hatchling said the hero might have fallen in love with the princess' appearance while she was chained up. Another hatchling said later, when the princess got older, the hero will definitely cheat. The other hatchling said men were supposed to be attracted to chicks. Arin's smile disappeared. After a while, Arin forced himself to smile again. It was hard to tell if it was Arin's smile or his distorted facial lines. When he thought he had managed to form a smile, Arin frowned and asked. Arin asked who... taught them that. The children answered in unison as if they were singing a song. The children answered it's Mr. Gaster.

Gaster had to smile at even the most unpleasant people in front of him. Gaster waved his hand with a soft expression that seemed friendly. Gaster said hey, he's here... It was the moment when Gaster looked straight at Arin's face. Gaster asked ...but, why Arin's expression like that. Gaster's expression changed strangely. Arin, who had been bright and kind just a moment ago, was glaring at Gaster with scary eyes. Arin said he's very welcome, Gaster. And Arin's only words were in a low, angry voice. Gaster had a strong feeling that he had come to the wrong place. Gaster asked huh. To hide his embarrassment, Gaster scratched the back of his head with the hand he had raised and asked. Gaster asked what happened. A smile formed on Arin's lips. Unlike before, it was a very natural, murderous smile. Arin said Gaster taught the kids something good. Gaster blinked and looked at Arin. Gaster asked good, him. Arin suppressed his anger at the sight of Gaster. At least, Arin should have told Gaster why he had to get beaten up. Arin's voice rang out clearly over the quiet snowfield. Arin said what did the kids just say...

Arin said ...that's right, what Gaster do think. Gaster tilted his head again as he looked at Arin who finished his explanation. What's wrong with that? Gaster asked it isn't that just ordinary wisdom for living in the world, why that's. Arin said huh, really. As soon as he finished speaking, a red aura began to rise from Arin's entire body like a bonfire in a remote mountain cabin. Gaster moaned ugh. Gaster groaned and quickly got into a defensive stance. Since the target of that red aura was clearly Gaster, how could he not focus on defense? Gaster thought damn it, this was why serving a crazy person as his boss made his body suffer, that's a mortal sin that Arin was so desperate to live like that. But Gaster already knew how volatile the young man in front of him was. Judging from Gaster's experience so far, there was a high possibility that he would die a violent death for no reason. Gaster thought there was also an experience where he showed a strange picture to the kids before and his lower body was completely blown away by Arin. For some reason, Gaster was feeling sad for no reason, but now his priority was to survive. Even though Gaster had infinite lifespan and immortality and endless regenerative abilities due to the Eldicreature's body tissue, he would bleed when he was stabbed and it would hurt if he bled. Fortunately, however, Gaster's suffering had not yet begun. The children shouted wow, it's Mr. Gaster. The kids all cheered and ran towards Gaster. Arin, who had suddenly become a fifth wheel, muttered as he looked at the kids, slightly disappointed and slightly surprised. Arin asked the children do like Gaster that much. The children answered of course. The children's response was firm. Someone said Gaster will quickly heal even if he stab him with a knife. Another said Gaster will quickly come back to life even if he cook him with fire. The other said Gaster will melt with acid and after a while, he'll return to his original state, squishy. A dragon said Gaster ws really amazing. Another dragon said how fun it would be if he played with Gaster. Arin said oh, that, that's right... Arin's gaze moved to Gaster. There, Arin saw a pitiful middle-aged man trying to force a smile on his distorted expression. It was the moment when all of Arin's murderous look disappeared. Arin said ...okay, let's talk about work. How would Gaster feel to receive a gaze full of the meaning of 'Oh, poor human...' from the being that just a moment ago tried to kill him? Gaster muttered, his shoulders slumping. Gaster said ...let's do that. Surrounded by children, Arin looked at Gaster and made a silent gesture. Although it was a bit delayed, Arin had not forgotten his original purpose. However, Gaster didn't immediately bring up the matter. Gaster said um, but... Gaster muttered as if he was curious as he looked around. Gaster asked Eorin, she still hasn't come. Arin asked Eorin. Arin's eyebrows furrowed strangely. Arin answered that irresponsible auntie who leaves all the kids to him and went out to play without him knowing should not come here. At that moment, a high and sharp voice was heard from behind the back of the dormitory. Eorin shouted who's the auntie, who's. Arin asked huh. Eorin turned her head in surprise. Across the hallway, a black-haired woman appeared between the darkness of the marble pillars. Eorin was a peerless beauty with lightly flowing black hair and a tight black leather outfit that clung to her entire body, making her figure stand out even more. Arin asked oh, Eorin. Arin waved his hand, barely able to form a smile over her stinging expression. Arin asked when Eorin did come. Eorin answered just now. With a cold response, Eorin flew slightly. Like a feather carried by the wind, Eorin's body flew through the air and landed gently next to Arin. The children lined up around Arin all bowed their heads. The children said ah, hello... Where they did disappear from the sight of them clinging to the strongest being on earth and teasing each other, the children's attitudes were truly polite. The children looked at each other's faces, bowed their heads slightly, and then hid behind Arin. Eorin smiled brightly and opened her mouth. Eorin asked how have they been, children.
